# FAQ

## What is the Bleep! App?

Bleep! is a 3D decentralized SocialFi platform built on Internet Computer (ICP). It combines immersive spatial experiences, NFT-tokenized posts, BTC-powered DeFi, and true free speech with no censorship.

## How do I earn?

* Mint and sell your posts as NFTs
* Earn daily passive income from the 9% platform fee redistribution pool (share scales with your Clout Score and activity)

## How do I create a text-based NFT (BLit)

* Visit Bleep's [Minter](https://bleepapp.org/minter) page,
* Select BLit(text) from the dropdown list
* Type in your text (quote, poem, joke, rant, etc...)
* Name your text NFT and mint it
* Head to the [*My NFTs*](https://bleepapp.org/collection) section to publish or sell it.

## Is speech truly free?

Yes - no shadow bans, algorithmic suppression, content filtering, or centralized censorship. All posts are on-chain and immutable.

## How are posts protected?

Posts are tokenized as unique NFTs on ICP. Blockchain ownership prevents theft, reposts, or unauthorized use; enforced by the originality checker.

## What is Clout Score, and how does it work?

Clout Score measures your influence and activity:

* Based on NFTs owned, likes/comments received, trades, content quality, and consistency
* Higher score = larger daily redistribution share + transaction fee discounts
* Encourages high-quality, original content over spam

## How much are transaction fees?

9% fee on every in-app transaction (NFT buys/sells, tips, premiums).\
All fees go straight to the daily redistribution pool - transparent and redistributed to users.

## How to join?

1. **Optional**: Connect an ICP-compatible wallet (OISY, Plug, Stoic, or NNS)
2. Visit [bleepapp.org](http://bleepapp.org), accept the terms, and log in
3. Profile auto-created -> customize username, add social links, set withdrawal addresses, and start posting

**Note**: You do not need an external ICP wallet to connect or use Bleep. Fund your canister directly: send BTC on the Bitcoin network to your generated BTC address, or ckBTC to your canister principal (visible in profile). ## Is there a mobile app?

Not yet - the platform is fully web-based and works well in mobile browsers. Mobile apps (iOS/Android) are planned for future updates.

## How secure is my wallet/data?

* No personal data required beyond wallet address (if connecting an optional external wallet)
* Content is on-chain and immutable - no centralized tracking or profiling
* Funding uses your auto-generated canister (secure and decentralized) - see [Getting Started](/bleep-docs/getting-started/getting-started) for details
* Use hardware wallets (e.g., Ledger via NNS) for large holdings if connecting an external wallet
