# Wallet Setup

# Connecting your wallet (Optional)

> *ICP-compatible wallets are optional for Bleep; your account creates a custom canister automatically for transactions. You can fund it directly by sending BTC to the generated address or ckBTC to the canister principal ID (visible in profile).*

**If you prefer to use ICP-compatible wallets, keep reading:**

* **OISY Wallet**: Recommended for seamless ckBTC transactions and a user-friendly experience ([oisy.com](http://oisy.com)).
* **Plug Wallet**: Easy browser extension & mobile app; great for quick logins and multi-chain support ([plugwallet.ooo](http://plugwallet.ooo)).
* **Stoic Wallet**: Secure option for desktop/mobile ([stoicwallet.com](http://stoicwallet.com)).
* **NNS dApp**: Official non-custodial ICP wallet; ideal for managing ICP, ckBTC, and hardware attachments ([nns.ic0.app](http://nns.ic0.app)).

## Step-by-Step Connection

1. Install your chosen wallet from the **official** website (verify links via [@BleepAppHQ](https://x.com/BleepAppHQ) or [dfinity.org](http://dfinity.org) to avoid scams).
2. Create or import an account (use Internet Identity for seamless ICP login if prompted).
3. Fund your Bleep wallet directly:
   * Add ICP for general fees/transactions (via exchange or swap).
   * For BTC/ckBTC: Send BTC to your Bleep-generated address (profile > "Fund Your Account" > BTC tab) - auto-mints to ckBTC for instant use.
4. Visit the [Bleep! App](https://bleepapp.org/), accept terms, and set your withdrawal address if needed.
5. Check your balance in your profile and start using the app.

**Security Tip**: Never share your seed phrase or recovery info with anyone. Use hardware wallets (e.g., Ledger via NNS) for large holdings.
